User Data Deletion Instructions

In accordance with Meta Platform Terms and global privacy regulations (GDPR / CCPA), users have the right to request the deletion of all data associated with their Instagram accounts. Auto DM provides multiple convenient ways to revoke permissions and purge all stored data.

Method 1: Revoke Access via Instagram (Instant)

Self-service via your Instagram mobile app or web

  1. Open your Instagram App and navigate to your profile.
  2. Tap the menu icon (☰) in the top right corner and open Settings and privacy.
  3. Tap Accounts Center > Your information and permissions.
  4. Select Apps and websites.
  5. Under the Active tab, locate Auto DM (or InstaDM Engine).
  6. Tap Remove and confirm.

✓ Once removed, Meta immediately invalidates all access tokens, stopping any further webhook events or API calls.

Method 2: In-App Self-Service Account & Data Deletion (Instant)

Directly inside your Auto DM Profile & Settings

  1. Log into your Auto DM Account and go to /profile.
  2. Scroll down to the Danger Zone section under the Account tab.
  3. Click Delete Account and confirm in the alert dialog.

✓ This action instantly unlinks your Instagram account, terminates active automations, and permanently purges your user profile, history, and stored data.

Method 3: Official Data Purge Request

Permanent deletion of all database records and logs

If you wish to have all stored records, automation rules, execution logs, and account metadata completely and permanently purged from our database servers, you can send an email request to our support team:

Subject: Data Deletion Request - Auto DM

Include: Your registered account email address and your connected Instagram @handle.

Processing Timeline: We process all verified data deletion requests within 48 business hours. You will receive an email confirmation containing a unique deletion confirmation code once the purge is complete.

What Data is Permanently Deleted?

  • All OAuth access tokens and authentication credentials
  • All cached Instagram profile data (User ID, username, profile picture)
  • All automation rules, custom keyword triggers, and reply templates
  • All historical execution and activity audit logs

We are using official Instagram APIs to trigger the automation.
